Charming hotel with all rooms cleverly placed around a beautiful large garden. The premises are not fully finished yet, but in a year or so this will be without doubt a still more attractive adress for a stay of a week or less.
Amazing for the price, and a lovely vibe. We had a clean, spacious room with a desk, plus a comfortable firm mattress that felt new. Lots of thoughtful touches like the drinking water was chilled, electric mosquito repellent device in our room. It's on a quiet street just 5 mins walk from the beach. When we were there the hammock area was being repaired from the hurricane, but there was still plenty of seating in the peaceful garden. Yesi was really welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend for hostel price range!
One of my favourite spots we’ve stayed at in our entire 4 month trip. The place is beautiful and quiet despite being in a really central location of Zipolite. The room was super comfortable and the staff are really lovely. Would highly recommend!
It’s the second year that we stay at Marea Viva and we honestly couldn’t ask for anything better! The location, the room, the facilities as shower / toilet / drinking water are great! The hosts are always so kind and welcoming, giving such a nice feeling of being home.
Beautiful place to stay in zipolite, with excellent service and great rooms. We booked this last minute after escaping a different hotel nearby, and they even let us check in early. Maybe it was a little hot in the room, but that's mostly down to the unseasonably hot weather recently.
I highly recommend Marea Viva. The location is as good as it gets for Playa Zipolite. And the hosts, Walter and his family, are as friendly and accommodating as it gets. Walter was extremely helpful, from helping get the cheapest transport from the airport, to answering all my touristy questions about the area during my stay. If you're after an authentic Mexican feel from your accommodation that's comfortable, and hospitable, then Marea Viva is the spot. There's a romantic beauty to this place. I would definitely go here again.
